STUDIO POLICIES

General policies:

Children must be supervised by a parent/guardian at all times unless they are in class.

Avoid running, climbing on furniture and gymnastics in the lobby area, thank you!

Personal belongings can be stored in the lobby, kitchen, lounge, or with the dancer in the studio. Prestige Dance Studio is not liable for any lost items, so please check before leaving.

Kindly ensure your dancer uses the restroom BEFORE class to prevent disruptions.​

Access Door:

Our facility has an access door to enter our lobby area

Families must register for access with their registration.

Two entry methods are available: a mobile app or a swipe card. There is no charge for either method, but a $50 replacement fee applies if a swipe card is lost. Families who lose a swipe card and switch to the app will incur a $15 fee

Access methods remain valid as long as the individual is a student at Prestige Dance Studio.

Upon discontinuing enrollment, swipe cards must be returned, and access through the mobile app will be revoked (failure to return swipe cards will incur a $50 fee).
If you are new to our studio or encounter entry issues, ring our doorbell for assistance from the office.
communication:
Every newsletter, closing announcement, payment reminder, and other important information will be sent via email. Kindly ensure that you provide a monitored email address. To prevent our emails from being sent to junk mail, please add PrestigeOffice6@gmail.com to your contact list.
STUDIO CLOSINGS:
Prestige Dance Studio follows Chesterfield County Public School Closings for all major holidays, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break. Note that we remain open on Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, and Student/Teacher Holidays.
Prestige Dance Studio does not always close during Chesterfield County Public Schools' inclement weather closures. However, we usually adhere to most 2-hour delays, weather permitting. For closure updates, please refer to NBC and ABC channels.
Prestige Dance Studio does not schedule make-up classes for missed sessions due to inclement weather closures.
Registration & fees:
FALL SESSION:
Fall registration typically starts in late July or August. The fall registration fee is $50, and it's half-price for additional siblings. This fee covers the summer registration for dancers who continue into the summer session following the fall. Tuition for classes can be provided upon request by calling or emailing the office. The annual registration fee is required for all students.

SUMMER SESSION:
Summer registration typically takes place towards the end of June.
A $25 registration fee is required for new dancers who are not currently enrolled in our fall session, with a half-price discount available for additional siblings. All students must pay the registration fees.
tuition:
FALL SESSION: Our comprehensive pricing covers the following costs: class tuition and costumes for the end-of-year recital. Pricing is based on class duration, and additional details are accessible upon request. We provide three payment choices: pay in full (with a 5% discount on class tuition), 4 & 9 installment plans. Recital tickets are sold separately for our shows and are not included in tuition fees. More information about ticket sales will be provided closer to the show date.
Optional purchases include: Class photos, Prestige Dance Studio gear, recital souvenirs orders, recital t-shirts, ect.

SUMMER SESSION: Full payment for summer tuition is due at time of registration and mini camp tuitions is half due at the time of registration and the other half (1) week before your camp.

DISCOUNTS: Our discount rates are based on the number of hours a student or family spends at the studio. Discounted tuition starts at 3 hours. For further details on class fees or available discounts, please reach out to the office.

REFUNDS: Prestige provides refunds for dancers who withdraw from classes before the deadline on October 30th. If you withdraw after this date, you will be accountable for the payment terms in full.

ACCEPTED PAYMENTS: Prestige Dance Studio accepts various payment methods including cash, check, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. Our studio does not offer online payment options, and none of our forms are linked to payment information. Payments can be made in person, over the phone, or by check through mail. Kindly refrain from sending cash through mail.
Dance Sessions:
FALL SESSION: The Fall session for Season 11 runs from September 14 to May 31. Details about holiday closures can be viewed here. This session requires a year-long commitment, and all dancers enrolled participate in the end-of-year recital.

SUMMER SESSION: Our summer session lasts for four weeks of classes, and we provide mini camps for different age groups. Stay tuned as we will soon share details about our summer programs.
Class Placement:
Dancers are leveled based on both their age and skill level. View our class leveling chart here. During the initial weeks of classes, all dancers are monitored to ensure they are placed in the appropriate level. Any necessary adjustments will be handled through the office.
Dancers interested in pointe are placed by teacher recommendation only and are required to take an accompanying ballet class.
Dancers interested in competition levels are placed by audition only. Please contact the office for our next audition dates.
Classroom Etiquette:
At Prestige Dance Studio, we aim to create a safe and encouraging environment. To uphold this standard, we kindly request our dancers to adhere to specific etiquette guidelines upon entering our studios.

DANCER ETIQUETTE GUIDELINES:

Show respect to all staff, dance assistants, and fellow students before, during, and after classes.

Kindly use the restroom before joining your class.
-
Refrain from consuming gum, candy, food, or drinks during classes; water bottles are allowed and recommended.

Please keep phones on silent in your bags and avoid using them during classes.

Adhere to our dress codes, including appropriate hair styling, which can be found here.

Bullying is unacceptable at Prestige Dance Studio and will not be tolerated.
Attendance:
-
Dancers are allowed to miss up to 4 classes or be tardy 3 times between September and December, as well as miss 4 classes or be tardy 3 times between January and April. Exceeding the allowed absences or tardiness may result in the dancer not being able to perform in the Recital, at the teacher's discretion.

Please notify the office of your dancer's absence so we can inform the teacher.
PDC/PDCA and Core/Prima Dancers should refer to the attendance policy on their acceptance form.
Class Make-ups:
Dancers can make up missed classes on any other day when their class is offered. Contact the office to schedule a make-up class; however, make-ups may not be available if classes are full.
Please note that Prestige Dance Studio does not offer make-up classes after spring break in preparation for the recital.
Recital:
Our Season 10 recital will take place on June 14th and 15th at Manchester High School. The Dress Rehearsal is scheduled for June 10-13 at the same location. All students enrolled in our Fall session classes will be part of the recital. Additional details regarding tickets, show times, etc., will be provided closer to the event. Each dancer will receive a recital costume included in the tuition, which is different from their regular class attire.
Viewing Windows:
All three of our studios are equipped with viewing windows that are accessible at the teacher's discretion. We kindly request that you avoid taking photos and videos through these windows.
The windows are tinted to minimize distractions for our young dancers by preventing them from seeing faces outside.
Private Lessons:
Private lessons may be available upon request at our teachers availability. Pricing for private lessons does vary by teacher.

How do I audition for Company?
A.
We hold company auditions every summer in June. Auditioning is required in order to be on either one of our companies. If you are interested in auditioning in the future, please notify the office and we will be sure to email you information as it becomes available. For more information on our company programs, please click on the "Company" tab in the menu.

What happens if we decide to drop?
A.
Our withdraw date is October 30th. If you drop after that date, you are expected to fulfill your payment terms.

How do I register my child for class(es)?

To register your child, please complete a registration form here. Once you have submitted your registration form, someone from the office staff will contact you (please allow 1-2 business days).

What kind of payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, debit/credit, and check payments. We can accept payments over the phone, however, we can not accept online payments at this time.

9 MONTH PAYMENT PLAN

Nine (9) equal installments (at the time of registration, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, March, April and May).
